12min Express Mani/Pedi!
Hello,
I just got over a major wedding and my hand and feet were looking gloomy after all the nail color change. I
decided to try out some home products to give myself a mani/pedi.
Take:
1 bowl of warm water
1tsp/1-1/2 tsp of baking soda
2 tbsp almond/olive oil
a little amount of shampoo
Mix these in the bowl and dip your feet and hands for 6 minutes each.
The baking soda will help clean the yellowness on the nails that occurs from consistent nail color application.
Take a nail brush (used for pedicures) or your old toothbrush and gently go over your nails and under the nail
area especially to give a thorough cleanse. Also go over the heel area with the brush. It will take off any dry
skin or dirt.
Wipe your hands and feet with a wash cloth and massage a good body butter. This will keep skin hydrated and shinny.
This is ideal for times you cannot run to the salon for a proper manicure/pedicure.
Take care and join me:

Review: Rimmel Vinyl Jelly Lip Pencil
Hello beauty addicts,
Today I will review the vinyl jelly Rimmel lip pencils in 001 and 004. The lip pencils are in a smooth crayon texture not like the traditional pencil with pointed tip. The tip is blunt and glides smoothly.
The colors are frosted when you apply, not at all matte. The color 001(Moreish) is a baby doll/pale pink but the frosted shimmer makes it more whitish.
The color 004(Sorbet) is a coral color even thought the shimmer is prominent more color comes out in this than 001.
Rimmel vinyl jelly pencils have are decently long lasting. The also do a good job of keeping lipsticks, put on top. If most of it is gone there will be at least be a tint.
It doesn't leave lips feeling dry. However, I have noticed the product is used up quite quickly. After one use you will be reaching to sharpen every time.

Review: Revlon Colorstay Photoready creme blush
Hello,
I purchased the Revlon Photo Ready creme blush in the shade 200 Flushed Rougissant. There are total 3 blushes in this range one is a flush pink, Coral and a natural nude shade with shimmer.
200 Flushed Rougissant-(PIcture with flash) |
The has a lemony scent. I do not like scents, however this is not overpowering and definitely will not stay after application.
(Picture without flash) |
This pink looks very bright but blends smoothly and softly. It just gives the perfect soft, flushed look. When I started using the creme blush it came across as a mostly matte pink and not very shiny or overtly frosted however there is a bit of sheen to it. If someone likes a matte color this is not bad at all as the shimmer is highly subtle.
Sadly it just doesn't last very long so you need to keep it in your purse in case you need to touch up.
The packaging is quite sleek. The formula is in a thick transparent plastic jar and the top is black.

Grey-t to be here-Essence
Hello,
Since the weather change I thought of sharing the Essence color and go nail color Grey-t to be here.
Essence nail colors are always pigmented and good quality in great affordable prices.
This is a cool grey with some pink glitter in it. The shine is highly subtle. It just adds so much character to the color.
This color can also serve as a neutral for fall/winter with all the dark bases used in clothes this will make your nails feel light and effort less.
In my picture the color might look streaky however this is after of a couple of days so great quality.

Fall 2013: Beauty Must-Haves!
Hello,
As the weather is changing
so will the clothes, trends and off course our beauty section as well.
Fall winter always sees
some deep hues keeping the look warm. Setting
into the season, I came across some unusual shades that will pop our
dark/neutral bases in clothing.
I first head over to Pantone website to see their fall forecast of
colors for 2013 and here it is:
More on Pantone: http://www.pantone.com/pages/fcr.aspx?pg=21058&ca=4

Based on these color
trends I have picked out makeup must haves for my beauty dashboard.
I discovered a Nars duo in ‘Rated R duo’ vibrant and something off the hook for fall/winter look. The blue is definitely something to keep from the summer trends and the green shade will pop the neutral browns or grays/blacks. Experiment with it, don’t shy away. This is off course pricey, however similar shades can be bought in Wet n Wild palettes in Knock on Wood, Blue had me Hello, I love matte, Cool as Cucumber and many more can be found in their range.

Colored eye pencil liners
are definitely a keeper. Shades in Burgandy, Emerald, Purple/Plum and Dark
brown are must haves. Sephora’s waterproof eye liner collection, Bourjois
Clubbing Water proof eye liners, Urban decay 24/7 eyeliner pencils are best to
find all these above mentioned shades. Both high end and drugstore brand
options given are highly pigmented and long lasting.
Lips are always fall/winters focus points. Samba is lighter
red than oxblood red from last season. However, the deeper shade of red is a
keeper as well. Vivacious is a bright pink with blue accents and this lip color
just makes a big statement. From Mac, Urban Decay, Rimmel, Revlon, Maybelline
Color Sensational all have great options for this color.
Do Not forget your lip balms ladies, deeper shades only look good on moist smooth lips. If you have a dark lip that will be your highlighting point hence some help from Burt’s bees, Body Shop lip care products should always be in your hand bag.

Nail paint is also a big
trend. Keep a Vivacious pink option it looks best with dark bases like khaki
greens, gray, black, cobalt blue, dark greenish browns like Carafe in the Pantone
color trend.
Definitely keep a rich purple to add glam and classy richness and even borrow the orange from the summers. It will surely give a wake up call to the lazy winter days.
