Halloween Inspiration!!!

Need some Halloween inspiration?

Getting creative with makeup skills at Halloween is the best time. We can experiment and if it goes wrong who cares anyways we have to look like someone else and then zombies and witches are known for makeup disasters.

But some people just don't have time or are tired of the witches and zombie like attires here is something refreshing.

1. Kim Kardashian

This gal has been rocking the year 2014. What better ode to give her then to be her. Throw a twist and make vampire like mouth. For costume any cleavage oriented body suit/top or crop top and a pencil skirt will compete the look with extra padding for the assets!

2. Katy Perry
This musician is very theatrical from her music videos to red carpet looks. Get hold of chalk hair color to get the different shades she has dyed her hair or wigs can do and wear any floral frock a little 50's style and add lots of bling. Colorfull stone chunky earrings/necklace and glittery pumps.

Her lip color is on trend with fall season upon us this wouldn't be difficult to find in your beauty dashboards ;)

3. Nikki Minaj


Yes people Niki Minaj was all the talk more over after anaconda and sporting that look would be something. Definitely get extra padding for the behind and front and a wig of blonde locks.

Her makeup is always fun, silver or glitter eyes, winged liner and extra lashes and off course pink lipstick in a shade that is paler than your skin. A funky outfit with lots of color will do.

Real Techniques brushes

Hello,

I just got my first Real Techniques brushes and WOW what a beauty!

I decided to get the Expert Face brush and and the Blush brush.

I would definitely give a detailed post later as I have just started using them, however they are highly dense and easy to use. I have used these about 2-3 times and the results are good.

The blush brush picks up good amount of powder and softly glides on skin. 

Comment let me know if you have used any other brushes that are good from the line?

The Body Shop favourites: Part 2 (makeup)

Rounding of my 2nd edition these are my favourite Body Shop makeup products. The products I have selected are:

1.Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover 
2. Skin primer Matte It
3.Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm
4. Shimmer Cubes Palette 06

1.Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover :

According to TBS, float away the day with refreshing rosewater to gently cleanse and dissolve eye makeup. Also conditions lashes so they feel soft and silky.

This is one of the best eye makeup removers I have bought and repurchased. Just need to take 1-2 drops max on a piece of cotton and glide gently on your eye in one direction. No need to rub and move to and fro to get the product off. My lashes do not come off like before when removing mascara just dab the cotton onto the lashes and the remover will soak the product.

2. Skin primer Matte It:

TBS claims it includes soothing chamomile and aloe vera extracts. For all skin types.

First of all not much description on the website. Basically it's a gel like formula and a matte primer. You just need a small amount (a little more than a pea size) to apply all over face and neck. Instantly your skin will feel velvety and smooth. I prefer letting it set for 2-5 min and then applying foundation. The staying power is great the eye  shadows won't crease or budge from place (the premier function of the primer is served). Definitely keeps shine away very good for people living in hot humid weather where the dilemma of melting makeup haunts us all.

3. Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm

This is a limited edition balm I got however other options are equally great. The moisture is amazing and as it does not have a shade so I find its best to layer on matte shades that can turn dry at times. It has a great fruity strawberry scent which just makes me layering on. 

4. Shimmer Cubes Palette 06:

TBS description: Get big, eye-opening results rich mix-and-match palettes of blendable eye shadows that can be used wet or dry. For all skin tones.

This palette is in the warm tones including shades: honeycomb, dark chocolate, marshmallow, choco chip. 

As I have a warmer skin tone the only color that does not do much for my skin is Choc chip. It's a taupe shimmer brown and for my lids its just to much shimmer and you really have to rub your finger/brush in the product to get some color, however all other shades are highly pigmented. The amount of product is a lot, I got mine a while back and they are nowhere hitting pan any time soon.

Quick Tip; damp you sponge tip or brush and then use the shades definitely adds more bling as well as pop to the shimmer cubes.

I got this bright pink blush (rose flower-02) a long time ago and its not really available in the same packaging though the same color is available in "All-in-one" blush 04 Marshmallow. It is the perfect pink for the radiant flush look and works for any skin tone from the lightest to the darkest. The staying power is great and the color is good all year round. 

Best use with the bright lip trend as you don't want a lot of colors on face. It will just had a glow to your face!
