What's in my winter stock!

As the changes in season occur our skin requires different routines as well. We have read about what's in a travel bag but what do you bring out for the winters?

In winters more careful, a little dehydrated and lines and dry patches will be more obvious.

Following are some things I'm excited to work out with this winter:

Goodies in my winter stock

1. The Olay Total 7 effects day moisturizer (detail review will come in a while as I have just bought it).
2. Olay essentials complete night creme (detail review will come in a while as I have just bought it).
3. Honey mania body butter, The Body Shop (purchasing 2nd time)
4. Cocoa Butter creme body scrub, The Body Shop (detail review will come in a while as I have just bought it).
5. Essential almond oil for hair and nails
6.Revlon PHOTOREADY foundation
7.Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in Love sick
8. Revlon Matte balm in Sultry
9. Rimmel liptick in Cutting Edge in 120

The Body Shop body butters are the best product for winters they keep the skin hydrated, smooth and glossy. The scrubs are ever important in winters as in summers. The dead skin and the flaky dryness will be cleaned and skin looks polished.

I have been a fan of using essential oils all year round so I always keep them at an arms length. Almond oil is great for moisturizing skin, nails and hair. Especially if you're a nail color addict then your nails definitely need almond oil to keep hydrated in between polish changes. Keep consistent your nails will be shinning without manicures and buffers.

Revlon Photoready foundation I did not find best in the summers so kept it for the drier months. It has worked out quiet nicely. Detail review will be posted in a few days.

Revlon Matte balm in Sultry 225

The lip colors in LoveSick (bright pink) and Sultry (dusty rose) are absolute love. These colors are great for people with dark lips, tan/olive skin tones or the undertones of  their skin is yellow. Sultry is best day color or understated lips at night. Lovesick is great for fun occasions or night outs.

The Rimmel cutting Edge in 120 is definitely a classic fall color. A deep mauve/purple. It turns out a little lighter (when photographed) on my lips than the shade looks.

Halloween Inspiration!!!

Need some Halloween inspiration?

Getting creative with makeup skills at Halloween is the best time. We can experiment and if it goes wrong who cares anyways we have to look like someone else and then zombies and witches are known for makeup disasters.

But some people just don't have time or are tired of the witches and zombie like attires here is something refreshing.

1. Kim Kardashian

This gal has been rocking the year 2014. What better ode to give her then to be her. Throw a twist and make vampire like mouth. For costume any cleavage oriented body suit/top or crop top and a pencil skirt will compete the look with extra padding for the assets!

2. Katy Perry
This musician is very theatrical from her music videos to red carpet looks. Get hold of chalk hair color to get the different shades she has dyed her hair or wigs can do and wear any floral frock a little 50's style and add lots of bling. Colorfull stone chunky earrings/necklace and glittery pumps.

Her lip color is on trend with fall season upon us this wouldn't be difficult to find in your beauty dashboards ;)

3. Nikki Minaj

Yes people Niki Minaj was all the talk more over after anaconda and sporting that look would be something. Definitely get extra padding for the behind and front and a wig of blonde locks.

Her makeup is always fun, silver or glitter eyes, winged liner and extra lashes and off course pink lipstick in a shade that is paler than your skin. A funky outfit with lots of color will do.

Nail food 101

Excessive use of nail color not only make nails look yellow they can get rough edges as well. The nail looses its shine due to the chemicals making it difficult for you to carry them clean in public.

Regular manicures pedicures is a definite answer but they are expensive and what if you can't get them regularly every month?

The simplest solution for nail color addicts is almond oil. The minute you take off that color apply almond oil around the nails and massage a little. Clean the rest with a dry wash cloth. The oil wont bother you much on the hands as the nails will be dry enough to soak it.

This does wonders it is like nail food. Almond oil also makes the nails look shiny over the period of regular use.

If you don't have almond oil you can also purchase the Almond oil stick by The Body Shop. It works like magic for the nails. Massaging every night gives you manicure nails every freaking day.

Fall/Winter Nails

The impact of autumn in the weather is not only that it gets cooler and dryer. It also brings a huge color change in the environment and consequentially brings a change to the  wardrobe palette.

This season pastels will be carried into winter months.  The lighter shades will provide brightness to the deeper hues. Metallic and glitter nail colors are very on trend this fall/winter so get ready to spruce up the neutrals. Color of the year by Pantone was radiant orchid hence keep your lilacs outside. This color brings so much luxe effect to any outfit!

Caution: Winter Skin health care

Keeping skin smooth and supple is a task in fall/winter seasons. Avoid dry patches from drinking lots of water and exfoliate 2-3 times a week depending on skin type and age. Dry/combination skins would do a little less than oily/combinations. Younger girls less than 25 should keep the routine once a week however after 25 I wouldn't suggest skipping the routine especially if they put makeup everyday.

Exfoliation helps cleanse the skin from dirt stuck in your pores. It is beneficial for the body and face. However on the face always use an exfoliator which has micro particles.
Never use any scrub or exfoliator with big particles on face, it uses a lot of pressure which your face does not need and large scrubbing particles ruin the layer of skin and end up harming your skin on the long run.

The Body Shop's Vitamin C collection includes the Microdermabrasion exfoliator which contains vitamin C rich Amazonian camu with shea butter. This exfoliator has small particles which is great for the face. The smell is refreshing and the feel after use is like a baby's bottom. This is a great in home treatment.

Just warm your face by putting a warm cloth towel over and then take two pea size amount on finger tips with small amount of water and start exfoliating. Do use more if needed especially neck area front and back.
5 minutes is good then wash your face, the results are amazing.
Moisturize your skin with the Vitamin C face cream for added protection and keeping the moisture locked.

Vitamin C is known to refresh dull and dry skin and since the no makeup look is on trend this is a must have product.
